So I put my car back together and I have an E303, afr 165s 60cc combustion chambers, and 1.7 crane roller rockers pedestal mount that are factory on the cobras. Tried to start it, and it was only making vaccum. Tried taking off the valve covers and adjusting the rocker arms on both sides and no matter what it would make no compression. So either the E303 for some reason doesnt work or it is installed wrong which makes no sense cause i know the timing dots are lined up and the cam pin went through the key hole. This doesn't make sense to me because I know that the E303 is a pretty basic old school cam.... Any help would be appreciated.

there has to be another problem, there are a lot of people running that head/cam combo...

That cam should work fine with those heads! Sounds to me like your cam is installed incorrectly! That would make your valves open on the comp stroke.

It must be timed wrong. The heads and cam should work extremely well together - you are not the only one with this combo. Perhaps you got the wrong cam, but jeez. If your rockers where too big, you'd bend the valves first time it cranked over. You need to do some leakage testing with the rockers off.

cam is only 525 lift even with the 1.7s, and the afrs support up to 550 lift. I guess the cam must be installed wrong.

I wanna say they the 1.7 rolllers and the cam wont work together well, i think i could be wrong, someone correct me please, someone must know this?

sorry you wrote alot I didn't read the whole thing. You can't just install a cam and expect everything to work together. you need to tune your CPU expecially on our SN95's. But after rereading it you have a lot more problems then that. sorry
