Default O2 sensor help

Ok, first off, I have no cats. I long tube headers with the O2 sensors in place. They both need to be replaced. With the cats missing, are the O2 sensors really reading correctly? Can I just install those O2 eliminators that Jegs sells, if so, will the ECM read correctly for the A/F ratio?
Please help!!!

The emulators are for downstreams, I believe. The upstreams will read correctly given they are the right part, placed in the proper location (very likely good if your headers have ports for them) and the heater is operational. Stick some new ones in and you're good. Best to test the wiring as well, but if they work well now, they should work well installed in the headers. Mine do

I believe the eliminators are for the 4.6 because they have 4 O2 sensors. Just replace your sensors and you will be fine.

These are Heddman headers. The O2 sensors are located right before the collector output flange, on the inside facing the tranny.
I don't think they are factory installed bungs the weld looks too sloppy.

I have BBK longtubes on mine and the 02 sensors are in the end of the header as well, you just have to get 02 extensions.

I'd reinstall them unless you do a smog and egr delete and reflash the ecm. They will most likely improve performance over the old ones.

Well they are pretty beat up. The ends where the wires connect, have bare wires showing. What would you do with old O2 sensors? Just out of curiousity.

dont buy the extensions its a waste of money. i just extended them myself w/ the same guage wire, and soldered then and then used heat shrink to seal them all up. its free instead of payin 50 bones for 1 foot of wire.
