need a lil 5.0 info

Hey guys, i'm a newbie comin over from the 05-07 forums. I have an 06 GT, but am trying to keep the miles down on it, and am lookin into gettin a 94-95 5.0. I'm not sure as to how moddable the 5.0's are, and if it can be done cheaply. I want the car as a daily driver, but want to run lower 12's. I would guess do heads and cam swap, then a shot of nitrous. I'm not sure at all on what heads and cams work well on these cars, nor how big a shot i would need on top of the H/C to get there. I figured I could ask here and get some help. What would be the most cost effective way to hit lower-mid 12's (12.6-12.3)? I really wanna run nitrous on the car, mainly because its cheap and I want a nitrous car because I've never had one lol. Will a mainly stock 5.0 take a 100shot of nitrous fine, or am i looking into the motor going boom. Also, coming from the 4.6 side of things I dont know how you tune the cars for heads and cam, and nitrous...My car has to have a tune for every little thing, but I'm pretty sure the 5.0's dont, but what is the easiest way to do tune the car? I'm wanting to do things cheaply, because its a driver car, and just want the nitrous for a lil fun.
Thanks!

Also...zipping up flame suit to ward off any "use the f'n search" posts

www.cardomain.com/ride/2211116/5 Is my mods list for my 94 Cobra
I ran 12.9 on 125 shot with drag radials... with stock gears
It doesnt take much, You can push an H/C/I Sn-95 into the 12's with gears, tires and a good tune... nitrous is worth 11's

+1. 5.0's are cheaper to mod and respond very well to them. The stock motor will do fine with a 100 shot. The stock motor is good for upto 450-500rwhp. It wont go boom.:D

5.0's mod easily, theyre cheap and take to modding well, however sn-95's are heavier thus it takes more modding to get the same affect as with the fox.

why are so many people stuck on the 300 lbs.??? strip all the sound dampening out and extra little crap you don't see thats kidden behind panels and you'll come close to a fox's weight in about 1 days work

ooticamitica do us a favor. Before you say stuff know what your talking about. Stop baggin on the sn95 its not that much heavier.
Anyways with the 5.0 engine you want to do heads cam and a manifold you can hit 12's with that and bolt ons and a tune.

I personally dont think that is very heavy
