disconnect your lower radiator hose, and take off one of the egr space coolant lines, this will allow air in to the top of the motor and allow everything to drain out

What about the block drain? Don't the 5.0 blocks have a block drain?

I just drain my radiator and add coolant every 6 months. It seems to stay clean that way.

you flush the entire system with the engine running there is no point really to just flush the rad. go buy the prestone kit at auto zone and follow the directions.

i would take one of your heater core lines off get a water hose and hold it on there with the engine running and the radiator cap off till everthing is nice and clear then pop off that lower radiator hose
