i have had the same thing happen although not as deep of a dent. i can't fit a hammer or anything inside to bang out the dent and i have tried one of those stupid dent pullers with the glue on them and they are not strong enough to pull it.

so could someone please tell me a good method for pulling this out, it doesn't have to look pretty but just enough to get my wipers aligned with the window again.

I've had the same thing happen to mine. Dunno why. The only way to fix what you have instead of replacing it is to remove the fender and windshield, cut the welds, and beat it back with a hammer. But if you go to the trouble of removing it, just replace it with a straight one.

i don't know, that seems kind of drastic. i would like to pull the dent myself but maybe i will have to resort to a body shop.

I had the same problem with my hood...the problem is that they don't make it latch to a piece of metal they just latch it to fiberglass which wears out over time. I have a huge crack in the fiberglass where it is supposed to latch...which means hoodpins for me too.
