what doesnt seem safe is bolting them to the floor
The angles that the straps run at will break your collar bones and compress your spine. In the long run it's your car/life and you can do what you want but there is reason for all these rules and guidlines. BTW I do build tube chassis as a profession, and we do not reccomend a 5 point without a roll bar.
oh i can understand that and i dont want anything that will be unsafe. i just saw a pic of itin a magand i just figured i would ask you guys, i just wanted to beshure. i cant afford the cage right now but my car wont be done for awhile and i just thought if i could have got away with thatthen jsut spend the money on something else. but im just gonna save my money for a cage instead. i didnt think the bar thing was safe just because i cant picture it in my head on how it would look and be mounted. i didnt say it wasnt safe. do you have a pic of what it looks like? i just think im gona stick with a 6 or 8 point cage though
