Clutch Chattering When Letting Out HELP
I am having a couple issues with my clutch system. First off when I take off, down shift or basically let the clutch out I am getting chattering and shaking from the clutch.I was told something with the throwout bearing, could something not be lined up right? I just replaced my clutch with a spec stage 2. The second issue is my clutch is hard as a rock. I replaced the clutch with a king cobra and it was still hard, I even put a stock pressure plate on with no diiference. I just swapped that out for the spec and it is even harder. I have a UPR adjustable cable, I replaced the pilot bearing, clutch fork, pivot ball, steel bearing retainer, I even changed the bushings in the pedal that stops the side to side movement. The car is a 86 GT Thanks for any help you guys can give me

RE: Clutch Chattering When Letting Out HELP
your clutch will chatter alot while its breaking in, that is one of the downfalls of kevlar clutches. However, if you raise your RPM's a little higher, the chatter will happen less. As for the pedal still being stiff, How old is your cable? Are you sure its routed properly? Is it too close to your headers? Are you running long tube headers?

RE: Clutch Chattering When Letting Out HELP
The cable is only 6 months old. Someone said to take it off and lubercate it. I resurfaced the flywheel last time I changed my clutch about 10K miles. Do you think I should have had it turned again? Could that becausing the chattering? I really appreciate all your guys help.
