when you guys start your car does it go on for a little bit then shut off? my airbag light does and i am almost positive the check engine light should

ya, when my key is on but the engine hasnt started yet the light is on then when i start it it goes away.

if the key is only in the on position (which it is for a second or two) it will light up and go away once the car starts

its normal

air bag light should stay on for a couple minutes, signaling that it is active

edit: minutes.. dur.. i mean seconds

just turn the key to the on position, the instrument lights enter a "test" mode and will all light up... if any are out, you will know
