Wouldnt that intake be on more then just a 97? and i didnt know that 302's were in explorers till 2000, read it in a Ford Parts interchange book, pretty interesting stuff
infact, the 96-97.5 explorer had gt-40 heads and intake whereas the 97.5-2000 had gt-40p heads and a slightly different intake. One of the largest differences between the 97.5+ intake and the gt-40 intake was that the upper intake sat about 1" further forward, and the ports were also moved forward. This causes problems when people use a 97.5+ lower intake when trying to install a KB supercharger!
