Default My new ride...

88 GT hatchback 5.0. Got it from a member here on the board. So far it's got 3.73s, headman headers, trick flow track heat cam and intake, valve spring upgrade. The interior is in peices because it's still being switched over to gray from red. I just got it a few days ago so I haven't gotten it put together completely. Theres also a few exterior trim peices not on that I need to get on. Yes, theres tons of overspray on the tires and wheels, woulda been nice if they took 30 seconds to mask those off, but whatever. It needs some work but I really like it, hopefully soon I'll have it lookin pretty good.

I'm curious as to what you think it's puttin out now for horsepower? What can I get it up to without changin the crank and rods and such and doin a stroker kit? Maybe heads, lil higher compression, injectors, mass air, I dunno, I'm new to stangs. Comments welcome.

Looks pretty good, id say your prolly puttin out around 225-235 to the wheels, you'll need some heads to work with the cam and intake. How many miles are on it ?

tomorrow I'm gonna work on it quite a bit hopefully so I'll get some update pics if I get anything decent done. The side strip peices on the doors, do they get glued on somehow or like 3m double side tape or somethin? Where can I get clips for that rear body clip peice? ford dealer? Alos at the dealer can I get like a big box or somethin of screws for all the interior panels or should I just go to home depot and find the same stuff? and I need the nuts for the front seats, bolts for the rear seats.

That's a nice old heap, for a project...depending on how much you paid for it. How's it run? Yeah, the previous owner could have at least leaned some trashcan lids against those tires while he was painting!

runs great. Definately doens't like the cold but I'm told most 5.0s don't. Cam is peerrdy lopey...and I love it A lil work and I should have it lookin decent. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get my rear seats bolted in, maybe put my racin seats up front since they're black. Get the dash all together and cleaned up, get the rest of the interior panels secured. Get my headlights and turn signals in and working. Then a good vacuumin

oh, and this has true duals, no cats, some sorta flowmasters, and the tail pipes runnin out to the back, it's not very loud though, sounds good but not realy loud. Should it be real loud? I'm tryin to figure out what sereis flows it has. I had no cat 40 series dumped on my old truck and it was wayyy louder. Anybody runnin straight pipes, no mufflers or anything out the back? if so how's it sound, is it nice or too loud?
