First off, w/ the MGW you can position the shifter anywhere you want it. The throws between shifts will be shorter and more precise...not as mushy feeling as the stocker (<--most short-throw shifters will do that for you). It will also help your 2-3 shifts be more accurate due to spring tension that helps the shifter center between gears.

Absolutely no drawbacks-you will not be wasting $200. More firm, positive shifts, and shorter throw. Looks a heluva lot better than the tall factory shifter also.

When my times comes to buy one ( whenever i have the money ) i'll definatly be buying a MGW shifter, i hear nothing but great things about them, and you wont be wasting your money, its a wise investment.
