Electric fan kit? My mech clutch fan is about shot. How hard is it to put on a electric fan kit? I can do the hardware part but how hard is it to put in the electric end of things?

Easy, just wire it up to a switch in the car and then to the battery

Are you talking about a toggle switch mounted on the dash?
Is there actually a way to make an electric fan turn on by itself like it would in a car originally equippedwith one?

^ cheap and simple. As long as it's not made of shyt, its a good deal. A relay, a thermal switch, a wiring diagram and about 4 feet of 16ga wire could get you the same exact thing but with more time, brains and phone calls.

Relatively easy. You can either install an electrical fan control kit which will turn the fan on and off automatically or you can wire in switch and control it manually. If you go the manual route, install a relay so you don't melt down the switch, wires or burn down the car.
