Default Fuel problem

I pckied up a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0 about a year ago. I'm having an issue with the fuel system, When the fuel tank is full, the car starts right up, but as the tank gets more empty, it take longer to prime. Can someone please help me with this problem?

If you change the fuel filter be sure to depressurize the fuel system first, most likely a fading fuel pump, need to drop tank to see, or the plastic baffles in the tankmay have broke free making the pickup move around and causing problems.

dude, from experience, id remove the whole dam gas tank and see whats going on inside. Youll be surprised.

TWO BOLTS, TWO QUICK LINES, UNCLIP CONNECTOR, BOOM SHE'S DOWN

or let it get empty or near empty, tap with a rubber mallot or your hand and listen for stuff in there.

Mine sounds like a few particles in there , but I have yet to bother.

well I understand filter, the term, but the majority of particles are not passed after the strainer, and feel contamination may come to place. A filter can be on the car for 8+ years and cause not issues.

The strainer, black and gunky, baffles broke, rust particles in tank, bad terminal connectors on pump , etc

Ive just seen more issues in side the tank.

I doubt it's the filter, it has no way of knowing how much gas is in the tank. I would be looking at some of the other suggestions already posted.
