Gears

I'm installing 3.73's in my 89 GT & was wondering should I change or do anything else or just the ring & pinion. Thanks.

Well if you really have to ask, I hope you're not planning on doing this yourself! How many miles are in the dif, if a lot, have it overhauled by a pro!!!

if you're gonna be doing a lot of hard drag racing w/ it it makes sense to upgrade to a 31 spline diff and axles.

There are alot of things you SHOULD upgrade and a few things that are optional. What I WOULD DO is get the FRPP $110 dollar kit from summit that includes axle seals & bearings. Optional would be to have the trac lok rebuilt and get 31 spline axles put in there while you have everything apart. I would atleast do installation kit, your going to need other things regardless though like crush sleeves, etc.
