Default raced a 04 svt cobra tonight..

Today i raced this 04 s/csvt cobra today bone stock.. He took off the stock catback exhaust just for a much louder tone until he can get an exhaust he said afterwards when we pulled over to talk.... So we were both going about35ish and we both downshifted to 2nd and i pulled on him a little less than half a car then he caught up andwe were literally side by side we both shifted to third and we were still side by side then i had to shift to 4th and he was still in third 1 1/2 car lengths in front of me until we had to slow down....... All i have is a trickflow stage 1 cam, bbk shorties, bbk CAI, 40 series flowmasters, cobra upper and lower intake,3.73 gears, king cobra clutch, bbk 65mm throttle body, 155 warlboro fuel pump, timing 14 degrees..... He says its because he lost a lot of power when he took off the catback exhaust... If hes right how much power u think he lost?

I'm sure that he didn't loose a LOT of power since he still has like 4 cats there to make some back pressure. From the sounds of it the guy doesn't know how to drive.

the only thing i noticed was his shift from 2nd to third sounded like it took some time.. probably about 2-3 seconds to be exact...it doesnt help that my gears are so short but so be it

u dont need backpressure for superchargers..... I dont think he lost anything. hell, u put some headers on it and u have negative pressure in the chamber (thats the idea)......
