Default Heater Core

Hey guys,
when i started up my85 this morning and turned on my heater a nice pool of hot A** coolant landed right on my foot . So i was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on taking out my heater core.

Tough luck on the leak. Sorry to be the messenger, but the hole dash needs to come out. The first time you do it, make sure to keep all the hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) organized. Ziploc bags and a Sharpie work well. Disconnecting the heater controls, light switches, and instrument panel can be a PITA. Other than that, it will take a while, but is not terribly difficult. The benefit is that you will have all the room in the world to work once you get the dash out. If you can find a shop to do it for less than $300, I'd take them up on the offer.

Yeah thats never a good thing... Search someof my posts, I have some pictures and pointers. Make sure you get a REDUCER on the inlet side of the heater core!!! It's not hard at all, just time consuming. Good luck!

Its a royal pain if your car has a/c, if it doesn't have a/c then you can do it through the glove box.
