sounds like HVLP is the way to go. I know guys with bigger tanks that i can borrow. Thanks guys, i appriciate the help.

First off that compressor is not going to work for a paint job, it's WAY too small, that thing is made for somthing like an air nailer not a spray gun. You need to get somthing that will sustain around 9 cfm @ 35 psi for an HVLP gunlessfor a conventioal gun. Second DO NOT EVER use spray can primer on a "real"paint job, the real deal 2 paints should not ever be put over spray can junk. http://www.autobody101.com/forums/is good place to start your research. Do yourself a favor and read up as much as possible before you start a project of this size.
