Default Crate motors

What supplier of crate engines do you guys feel is best? Would I be able to get a good 347 ready to go for 5 grand? Where could I find it?

Thanks a lot, I know this post is pretty general, so sorry about that!

Seems to be a common question lately, and no, crate engine = bad. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, find a reputable local engine builder and discuss your plans/desires/goals, and work something out that way. A lot cheaper.

I agree if your dead set on buying a crate motor go through Ford Racing, however for a lot less money an engine builder can build you exactly what you want for much less... jmo good luck

<~ Agree with 7up... that's definately the only way to go. Crate engines are going to end up costing you a lot more. Get with a reputable shop, and they'll build you what you want for a negotiable price. I highly recommend it

Wow, never thought about simply going to an "engine builder".

Thanks for the advice, guys.
