Default my battery is dieing?

I know its an "in general" question but can anyone give me any ideas on what to look for and tell me why my battery is dieing after about 2 weeks? I ussaly drive about that often and usally get in it and have to put it on the charger.

I bought the car a while back and it had an aftermarket stero in it. Can this be it?

I drive it a little less than when I first had it so I can say what it was doing before?

hard to say... start checking your main power and ground feeds to the battery for corrosion or splits.

First thing you need to do is check your connections. Make sure your battery cables are tight, and that they aren't corroded. Then you need to take a multimeter, and check your voltage with the car running. You should be pushing about 13.5VDC. If you don't have a multimeter, take your car to Advance or Autozone. They will check your charging system and your battery for free to see if it has a dead cell. When you say you have an aftermarket stereo, are you talking about a pioneer head unit, or a 6000w amp pushing 4 12"s and 2 15"s or something rediculous like that?

No its just a different radio than the stock one. It not pushing anything.................It does not power on when the ignition is off so its not wired direct.......??

I will take 93 LXs advice and go get it tested first and rule out any "idiot" issues first.

you could have a constant draw on the battery from a light not going out. maybe glove box or hood light.
