Default Pypes exhaust??

Hello people. I just put a new Mac catback on my 88lx w/ GT40 crate motor,B303 cam, T5, FRPP shorties, O/R H-pipe.

I'm not that impressed with the Mac system. It fits like CRAP and it sounds like an old pickup truck.

I was hoping any of you can give me a DETAILED DESCRIPTION of what kind of sound the Pypes violator catback would produce with my current settup, thanks.

Hey,

I don't know what the Pypes system sounds like, but if you've got a decent soundcard and speakers on your computer, you can listen to some other 'stangers sound clips of their combos. Maybe these examples will give you a good idea of what your looking for. Also, contains some details on X pipe, H pipe and true duals and how they effect exhaust note.

I run true 1-3/4" long tubes, true duals, through Dynomax Super Turbo's with over-axle tail pipes... 2-1/2" all the way. It sounds okay.

Thanks for all the advice and feedback. I am looking for a loud but clean sounding exhaust. I love Flowmasters but I am tired of them and they don't flow at all. My new Mac catback sounds just ok. It sounds too much like a truck. I can hardly hear my motor...God knows I need that.
