actually ford made a "cobra" in '76-'78 and also '80-'81

they were however just an appearance package.

also to be noted , a GT in canada is titled "cobra"

but no, all svt cobra's were '93 + and the basically a gt-40 based motor for the '93-'95 and the 4-cammer for '96+

some minor suspension mods too , and all were limited toapx 5000 units

yea, 92 GT cobras did exsist but it was a canada only thing and the only difference between the american GT was rear window defrost from the factory and a block heater from the factory. Oh ya, and the "cobra" sticker on the back. So, no difference what so ever.

slight correction.... 76 was the introduction of the CobraII and 78 was the year of the "King Cobra", and 79, 80 and 81 were the first fox cobras

I still can't get over the stupitity of some people...I think all mustang wanna be owners should have a manditory stay at the mustang forums for a minimum of 90 days before they buy a stang, just to be safe....
