Default need help with 347

what all do i need to do as far as getting the block preped to assemble a 347. also if you own a stang with a 347, I would like to know how it performs on and off the track, E/T (1/8 mile if you can, thats all i run on so far.) I have an 86 t-top, I ran a 7.4 1/8 on mickey e/t's, the motor was stock bottom end i had a ford racing e303 cam, gt40 heads, upper and lower intake, 1.6 roller rockers, converted to maf with 42lb injectors, 70 mm throttle body, 4.10:1 rear end, and aluminium drive shaft, and 125 shot of nitrous. my plans are to keep most averything i have on the motor except for changing the upper/lower intake to the BBK SSI. so can any one give me some advice on the 347 and what to do with the block?

really all the machine shop does is notch the block,, bore it...alott of kits stroker kits, give you a tool to put on a dremel and do it ya self... has to be bored .030 over...i had a 347 you will be amazed at what it does..i had stock tires on it once lol man i had to peddle the gas to get it movin without spinning tires...now i have a 331 stroker...i have been in turbo'ed cars..i was impressed..but i think a good built stroker is much better...more cubes = more hp...
on 347 i had 418 hp,and 448 pounds of torq+ a 125 shot..never raced at track but was never beaten...notto say no one could...i just never found them here...alotta stis,evos,and ricers here...

42lb injectors are a might big for your setup, 30 would be about perfect for you right now. 42's are SC/turbo territory

Although I have not really ever been a big fan of the 302 based strokers, they can poetentially turn some big numbers. This is my only advice (my opinion only) 4blt main block. Yes the block will have to be notched period... If you must stay with the GT-40 perhaps porting and polishing upper and lower that will actually produce good numbers. 30lb injectors will support up to 480hp although you may find if you are pushing too close to those numbers that the duty cycle may be a bit too much causing a need for larger injectors. Especially with larger Nitrous and for certain with a blower. I am not familiar with the BBk systems at all, I do not know anybody that is willing to mess with one. If I had to choose between the GT-40 and the BBK I would port and polish the GT-40 compliment with AFR 185's and feel pretty confident. If you wish to really build, then the Holley is in fact a good product.

Again My .02, although it has been covered well before my opinion.

ive looked at the systemax before but haveheard it couldnt be compared to the gt40, the upper and lower has already been ported and polished. when i bolted it on the numbers on the track dropped a good bit, so dont get me wrong i like the gt40. are you running the holly setup jasper?
