Car won't run KOER codes!! Help.
So I just ran codes on my car, trying to diagnose why it's been idling funny. I ran the koeo codes with no problem (except that the MIL light flickered oddly before starting the codes). I got a code 67. Then when I went to run the koer codes, I started the engine (with the jumper wire in place, as I had done a year ago), and this time, instead of the engine ID code flashing, the engine stumbled hard and almost stalled, as though someone had snatched a vacuum line from the intake, and then read no codes. I repeated this sequence like five times before deciding to come consult with you folks. Any idea why this is happening?

does the car stay alive? when i turn off the scanner (we use a solus which basicaly controls your car when its on), the car will stumble and come alive - its normal.
if u cant run engine on codes i'd say ur ECM is messed up.

Code 67 = tranny is NOT in neutral = not safe to run a KOER (as far as the ECM is concerned).......try to initiate the KOER while you (or a helper) holds the clutch pedal down during the KOER......the system will not allow a KOER to be run if code 67 is present.

Thanks, Joel. Actually, I dug up an old thread in which you recommended that to someone else. I went out and tried it and, sure enough, it worked...with the clutch being held in. Now my questions are: What is causing this code, and will it hurt anything? Is it the clutch switch? I checked to see if my car would start without pressing the clutch in, and it did not. Doesn't that mean that the clutch switch is still working? If you would, please tell me everything you know about this issue. Thanks again.
