Default for those with the 3g alt upgrade

how many volts is everyone running with their 3g alternators? i just finished mine and the lights still dim at lower rpms but only when its in drive. in park at almost the same rpms, the lights dont dim. i need help

what accesories are you running? i have an electric fan, no a/c but i do have some blue/white headlights, if that makes any difference.

MY lights only dim at very low rpm's like <600. I dont have a/c or an electric fan

I am running 14.7 volts at idle. Lights never dim, even under heavy power drain from stereo

well mine dimmed when i had the old stock alternator and i wasnt expecting them to dim with the 3g. i havent even installed the amp and the subs that i just bought but i do have all the wiring for the amp connected to the battery.

Do you have underdrive pullies?
If so, replace the underdrive alternator pulley with the stock 75 amp alternator pulley.

Also, the stock 3G pulley is the same size as the underdrive alternator pulley. Put the 75 amp pulley on.

Even with the 3G my lights were dimming at idle with the underdrive pulley on so I went back to the stock pulley for the 75 amp alternator and now have no charging issues at idle.

not that i know of but that could be the problem. the 3g is from an sn95, does that one come with an underdrive pulley?
