Default Computer problem

I recently finished replacing my AODE with a T-5. So far everything works great except the engine hesitates when it thinks its time to shift. I'm told a need a 5 speed ECU. My question is do I have to get one out of a 94-95 car, or will a computer out of a fox car, or a hand held tuner will suffice.

I know on the fox, you can run either computer in a 5 speed...it might be different for you. Maybe you can just flash it/reprogramit for higher shift points so it isn't a problem?
