Ya they dont look that good i think. You never really see them around in my parts but i have seen one or two before and i am pretty sure that they were alittle tuned down from the 5.0s on the mustangs. They were a car ( that model) did not really last that long i am pretty sure. It was a thing that they were trying to get for people that were not too into the radical 5.0's and wanted something more tamer but still have a bite. I just dont get it but i am glad they got rid of it because i thought it looked horrible.

Nah, I like the front ends much better than the earlier 5.0 front ends...
If it had a different *** end tho I'd love it.
There are a couple black primer'd ones that drive around town where I live
Reminds me of that Mad Max movie.

But, I wouldnt mind having one. As long as I can do a rear end swap

3 car lengths from 55mph. He got into passing lane & revved his engine.

I have a friend with an 80 Capri with a semi mild 5.0 in it; T-5. He didn't put the different rear hatch in it but says that it's the Black Magic version and looks like a Mustang rear end instead of the bubble glass hatch. It's rusty though, especially at the sway bar link end. It's hard to tell. Same chassis, same motor. Doubt if if they were de-tuned, if at all they would have a non HO 5.0. I think a good race would be an 86 GT and 86 Capri with HO. Sould be identical.
