Dying seatbelts?
I need all seatbelts in black, Ford no longer sells the passanger side seatbelt at all(not black or grey), and they want $200 bucks for the driver side..in grey! what can i do....is there any way to dye the regular setabelt into black or something...i wanted to make the entire car black, but a stupid grey seatbelt wwill screw everything up. will i just have to watch ebay everyday..or wait for the springtime for a junkyard....anybody know where they sell replacement seatbelts?

cloth dye will wark easily... just pull the belts completely out of the retractors (dont disassemble them.... ) and clamp them while they are pulled out far... Find an old bowl or bucket and mix the fabric dye, and drop the belts in there... DO NOT GET THE RETRACTORS WET!!!!
let them soak for a LONG time.. then take them out and follow the drying instructions, rinse them off a few times ans soak them again

Most of that fabric dye is permanent in every sense of the word, as long as you follow directions. I wonder if the belt from another vehicle (escort, taurus, sable, etc.) would fit the mustang with a lil modification? I dunno just a thought. Good luck[8D]

try a 4 point racing harness, looks clean, nice, and you dont have to worry with finding replacement seatbelts....as soon as i get the money im getting black 4 points just havent figured out which brand

nah ive seen them added to stock seats with a headrest to act as a guide for the top belts but ive heard it can be done as soon as i get the money im gonna find a way bc right now my belts are worn out and dont tighten up

They shold be mounted no lower than 5° below the shoulders and no higher than 30° above the shoulders
