built2envy: get a new idle air control motor
cassimus: thats just by chance, injected motors dont respond to throttle snaps like a carbed motor

Yea replace both the tps (throttle posistioning sensor) and the IAC ( idle air control valve) and you should be fine. You can pick both up for about 80 bucks

Why replace a tps if it's not the problem. Throwing parts at cars as hope in fixing them is both a waste of time and money. Propperly diagnose the problem and fix it correctly. Will end up saving time and money in the long run

if the TPS was at fault, it wouldn't correct by warming up. IAC will.

How about just making sure they are adjusted correctly before throwing them away. Only take like 5 mins to do the TPS (With an extra set of hands to hold the meter probe), and it fixed the same problem when I had it. Pro is right. Find out what the actual problem is before just throwing money at it.
