well im running 265/50r15 on the back of my stang which probaly does not sound wide but trust me they are some fat meats and with just that size i had to roll the fender well lip on the back so it would not run and my car is lowered too so i would think that is just about as wide as i would want to go

your best bet on getting something that fits and don't rub or limit the steering is to go to a local high performance tire place and talk to them about what you are looking for and they can give you some advice on what will or won't work. the wheel width, diameter, offset, etc. has a lot to do with what will or will not fit and these "pros" have the tools and knowledge to measure and carefully fit something for you.

I have super sport springs from ford racing, they say 1.5 inch drop i think, but its more like 2, dunno about yours, I have the stock ten holes with 225 65 15's and they rub with the wheel cut. As for the back, i guess anything wider then 265's rubs on the quad shocks.

i agree with you ihave the i believe cobra springs it says like 1-1.5 inche drop in front, and maybe 1/2 -1 inch in back and its like at least 1.5 - 2 inches all the way around. still looks good but limits tire size, i have the pony rims from a 94 stang on mine, not sure of measurements and the front rubs while turning, and back is fine so far no problem, just need to get better shocks and struts so its not so bumpy of ride. any suggestiongs on those??

275/40 r17= the tire size
275= width of the tire, higher the number the wider
40= size of the sidewalls, higher the number the wider
r17= rim size in inches

just flip the quad shocks for a lil extra room....those 225.65.15 are taller than stock tires.....this is where back space of the rims is very important
