Default lowering my car

When i bought my 89 mustang 5.0 gt , the guy gave me some lowering springs and rear control arms that he didnt install yet.. The thing is, is that the tires i have now are almost hitting as they are..should i try low profile tires? Or is there something else i can do by trying to avoid buying new rims?

Assuming your talking about the tire hitting the top of the fender well, sounds like it's already been lowered if the tires are almost hitting already, unless you have abnormally high sidewalls... The springs he gave you may be just a different spring rate...

You should post pics of the car and tell us what size tires you have before you do anything

yea i was also thinking that too. Just getting some feedback to see what you guys think. Maybe ill sell the springs on ebay or something. I figured i would ask since i did'nt pay anything for them. Ill probably just end up doing that.
