Default serious problem

i couldnt get my broken sending unit out so i just kinda left it. the seal and adapter were well threaded into the pan/block. as i pull into my driveway i notice a HUGE puddle of fresh oil just pouring out from under my car.

i am so pissed off right now. i JUST left the shop and now its closed till tomorrow morning. EVERYTIME this car breaks something, it happens in my driveway. oh no it couldnt do this at the shop when i was checking the fluid levels oh no that would have been too convienent.. im going to punch holes in the walls..brb

nevermind.. left it to a pro and called my mechanic. water pump **** the bed.. hardcore.

i have a question though, are there oil passages in the water pump? im still losing oil from some where.. not like a tiny amount either.. enough to make the oil light come on after about 5 minutes..

theres no oil in the waterpump at all. it could be your timing chain cover thats leakin? im pretty sure oil gets in there to oil up your timing chain and gears. i would check that.

Oil doesn't touch the wp, your mechanic doesn't sound to good if thats where he said the oil is coming from.

the oil pressure unit is bad. my mechanic knows these 302's very well.. trying to diagnose a car covered in coolant/oil at 8pm in a dirt driveway isnt exactly easy.

just getting it towed to my shop in the morning so we can throw it on a lift and look at the bottom end

ive heard the timing chains in the 5.0's are basicaly bullet-proof from the factory
