I have the trickflow, no complaints but the sole reason i bought the kit is because 1) at the time i bought it i really didnt know all that much about 5.0's, and 2) I got an extremely good deal on it from a guy who bought it but couldnt pay for it all. Had the deal not came along i probably wouldve pieced together my own combo. But all in all its not a bad kit for the price

listen up man, believe it or not ur setup with the thumperize e7's was pretty good, the only thing i would say is get a bigger cam.
Do you have to worry about emissions? or can u find someon to cheat u throuh?
If you can then i would suggest a alphabet cam, i kno people on here hate em, but they are still good cams, if i were u i would hit up the f or x cam, with them e7's and then put the trick flow intake and u should be somewhere near 300 wheel. The heads are going to be the downfall, however that dont mean that u cant do good things with em.

I can let you kno about my friends setup hes got a nasty setup with ported stock heads n/a for kinda cheap. Just contact me or post up on this thread

oh yea but see what people are sayin on this thread is if ur gonna spend the 1100 or so for trick flow heads that are good why not just go with afr which is only 150-200 more expensive. trick flow makes good heads but for the price they are asking u could do better.
The ported e7's will work, trust me they are not as bad as i originally made them too be, after seeing my friends setup with ported stock heads, i cant make fun of em anymore. now would he have gotten more power from after market, hell yea, but it wouldnt have been as impressive. remember, its only impressive if you can do it right for cheap.

oh by the way his setup is as follows:
block bored .30 over to 306
ported e7's (dont kno how much cause he did em)
trick flow stage 2 cam
edelbrock knock off intake
crane 1.6 aluminum roller rockers
trick flow valve covers ( he didnt need em but did it anyway)
373's already in car when he bought it
tubular k member
tubular upper and lower control arms
forged aftermarket pistons 10:1 compression (dont kno which they are)
and probably a little more, but thats the big stuff, and its in a 95 gt and he runs mid 12's and it cost him since he and his father did it all probably no more than 2500

The trickflow kit is a pretty good kit, but for the performance it gives you opposed to the price its not all that much. For the same price you could peice together something and make more power. And also keep in mind that alot of the power is in the tune. And a tune isnt that cheap. I'd either get a different computer, or buy a tweecer and tune it yourself, but the tweecer has a really steep learning curve.

I personally like GT-40 heads because its what i have and they are cheap... and instead of porting stock e7;s, you can spend a couple extra bones and port some gt-40's that have bigger valves and flow more out of the box... Ported GT-40's are known to outflow AFR165cc's
