Bad Idle & rich exhaust, Painful!!
Could any of you good people solve a bad idle & rich exhaust issue?.
For the last few weeks my stang has been at times hard to start (I can hear the fuel pump wind-up at key turn) and would take a while to fire-up. Other times it will start right away. It has a strong exhaust smell too (running too rich maybe?) at times. Tonight it was a hell of a time to get the thing running period. I have used throttle body cleaner in the recent past to clean the IAC valve and inside the throttle intake. I hope this didn't bung up the O2 sensors. I can get it to Idle, but when I put it into gear it drops & stalls, at times it will drop and keep running and surge idle up and level off. The MAF is Clean, IAT sensor new, ECT new and I have never replaced O2 ever. If you could give me some advice that would be great!
thankx
