Default Hello Everyone

First off I would like to say hello to everyone at this forum. My name is Clay and I came to this site looking for a little help.

I have a 94' F-150 with a 5.0 w/ manual 5 speed in it. It is kind of a dog and i am about to lift it some more and put bigger tires on it So i need to get a few more horses out of her.

I figured since it is a 5.0 and you guys are experts in 5.0 mustangs you guys would be able to give me a few ideas on what i could do to get it around 300+ HP.

So what would you guys suggest i do to the motor first?

Thanks
Clay

300 horses can be acheived by a good H/C/I setup and supporting bolt-ons...

As it sits now I have factory 3:55 gears, 35" tires and 3 inch body lift. i am planning to re-gear the truck to either 4:10 or 4:56 depending on how big of a tire i'm going with.

It has a "CAI" on it already, i know it doesn't do anything but thats on less thing to get when i change the cams and heads.

A good set of heads, cam and intake manifold. I'm pretty sure that your truck has a flat tappen cam, but all 5.0 blocks made from 1985-present can be converted to roller (they are made to accept rollers even if they are flat tappet equipped.

Or you can just take the easy way out and get a blower.

First off i would do an HCI swap. Im pretty sure the 5.0 in your truck is a non h.o. and they are dogs(no offense) With a well matched HCI you can hit 300RWHP. You will probably want to do all supporting mods also, TB, MAF, injectors....
