Default car wont stay running

When I start my after it has been sitting for a few days it will fire up right away and then imediately die. If I give it a little gas it will not die and after it warms up it will run fine what could it be?

I cleaned it out with a brush and some carb cleaner, could the iac motor be fried? or could it be the maf? One of the hose clamps that holds the maf failed and the maf came off while i was driving could that be the problem.

Yes, the iac could be bad. Did you restore the clamp? How does the t/b look? Is it dirty inside? Open the blade and have a look.

just replaced the tb with a new pp 65mm and i set the idle around 900rpms. As soon as the maf problem I have had a cel so I am thinking that the maf might f'ed up. I used a 30 cal nylon brush that came with my browning hi power and it got into the iac beautifully. I guess I will be calling 5.0 resto fora new iac.

So is this a new problem since you installed the new t/b? Is the t/p sensor set correctly?

before i installed the new tb it was doing the same thing. I cleaned out the iac while it was off the throttle body. I just need to get a new iac. I might try resetting the tps though.
