so i don't know if this has been said yet or not cuz i'm honestly to lazy to read a thread about the stock shifter...

just because the shift handle says hurst on it doesn't mean that the shifter it's self is made by them... it could very well be the stock shifter or a pro 5.0 shifter with a hurst handle...
