HELP "wider tires"

Need Help, can I know that I'm able toput 17*9 on the front but why can't I put 17*10.5 on the rear... Has anyone done this and what is the widest I can go on a 93 cobra...

I have 17x10.5's on the rear of my 93 GT (with the M-2300-K brake kit) they fit great with 275's on them. They rub only when I hit a BIG bump and not to bad then either! I am yet to roll my wheel well lips to, once I do they shouldnt hit at all.

roll your fenders, remove or flip your quad shocks, and get the correct backspacing and you should be able to do it with no rubbing.
