+1 if they really are linear, ride shouldn't change. Its still ghetto as *****! Buy some new springs.

ORIGINAL: OnyxCobra

i have heard because stock springs are linear rate, cutting a little off them wont really change the ride characteristics. Not that I'm for cutting springs, but if you're looking to drop the car a little you could probably get away with cutting a quarter to a half of a coil at a time til its where you want it.

Who here has cut their springs??? ME, and I would recomend it, it works fine and rides the SAME. I cut one coil out of mine, front and rear. The stock springs are specific rate, you can cut coils to get the look you want.

4 banger springs are a lesser rate and will effect ride quality. If you want it to handle better, buy new, if you are happy, cut away.
