Anyone ever try a mini spool? Id love to go full spool but the cost difference in alot. My wife is getting on me about spending. I have 28 spline axles too, so if I wanted a full spool Id have to go to 31spline axles....grrrrrr........Why dont they makea full spoolfor 8.8 28spline? Anyway... Id like to getlike 3thousand miles on it before maybe I can save for a full spool. Will it last that long? Im just over 400hp and i run 10.5" slicks. Time to ditch the track lock.

if you want a full spool just weld the spider gears in the diff. free spool

are you sure you arent talking about a locker?

cool upper rad mounts. anyway if you run regular street tires you should be ok. run around with slicks and your risking breaking an axle. and not having c clip eliminaters would be a bad day indeed

You don't want a mini spool they are weak and break easily. Get a full spool and do it right. Don't weld the side gears to the spider gears or anyhthing similar, you will snap them at the weld and mess up your rear. Look into a full spool, they cost just a little more then a regular spool but I think they are only available in 31+ spline not 28. With that much power its probably time to upgrade to 31 splines especially if your running slicks.
