i don't recall seeing that under my car. i could be mistaken tho. anyway its probably extra chassis support for the non-existent roof.

sway bar removal is for weight, nothing else. straight line performance isn't affected by a sway bar.
i wouldn't take them off. vert's shouldn't be taken past ~400whp anyway, just not enough structure.

what if you got subframe connectors and a roll cage. then can they handle more than 400whp? cuz im makin more than that with my setup. i rarely run it like this though. maybe thats why nothing has messed up yet.

if your runnin a roll cage and subframes you'll be fine, but i wouldn't stomp on it until you have that stuff installed.

those braces are for stiffening since theres no roof alot of 5.0 guys pirate those for the coupes and hatches for additional stiffness

and for the cover question make sure the upper mouldings are not broken(studs snapped off) u can check them GENTLY to see if they have any up and down movement other wise u cant use the cover properly

I check and read every thread in the vert section daily. But the boot cover you talk about is kinda a pain to put on, but looks super nice when it is on. In VA the weather is to questionable to keep taking it off and putting it back on, but in Vegas and the like where the weather is more consistant I would use mine more.
