ORIGINAL: CrazyCobraSpeed

ive heard that shops can do a port job... i was goin to get my heads ported to get ride of my bottle neck heads... i figured my cobra intake would need to be ported next... would a shop more than likely do more htan u have done or is a very basic porting??? also were do u cut it at... i have a cobra intake like i said and hte only reason i and porting it out and not gettin an aftermarket one is i wanna keep the stock look... kinda sleeper
I believe with enough studying you can do it yourself, but it is pretty basic and the aluminum is easy to work with. The welding is the hardest part. As far as whereI cut it, I will have to put up more pictures to show you...tommorrow I will get more.
http://www.tmossporting.com/ Look there, is is a good starting poiont and will give you an idea....the cobra intake is different than my stock intake (same as the he is working on)

Here are some pictures of my progress....the line drawn on is where I cut it. I already started finishing/cleaning up the welds.

Here are a couple of the lower where I welded it at. I still have tons of work to do to that(welds look like poo)

I don't have abrasive enough media to clean the aluminum up good enough to just clear it....undetermined on what color anyway....

I will clean up the casting marks on the upper, but the lower won't look different from stock...just be painted. I am going for stock look.
