its off topic but if anyone can help me out its you guys ok so a couple weeks ago i pulled an engine out of a ferio got it all fixed and put it back in now here is my problem it runs great but it wont shift gears my boss is yelling at me and crap saying i fuked something up the only thing i touched that had to do with the clutch was the dish and pressure plate had to take them off to get the engine on the engine stand put it back together the right way but its not shifting gears tryed starting it in gear and it jumped forward the peddle is mussy half way down then gets hard bleed the slave cylinder still nothing what the hell happend i never touched anything in the bell housing when the engine was out and the slave cylinder is getting full movement from what he said to me while i was sitting in the car pushing on the clutch peddle

thats exactly what i told him and he said no its working he took the slave off and i pushed on the linkage to the clutch and it was stiff as a mother so it had to be the slave instead he sent me home for the rest of the day got 4 hours in today and he started pulling the trans

did you unbolt the slave at all?

nope didnt touch any of that stuff he unbolted it after we found out it wasnt shifting gears

Sounds like your boss is a dick. If he fires you file with your local labor board, then go collect un-employment. He must have a valid reason to fire you and if it is poor performance he must document that as well. Either way I would be looking for a new job.

well if it will shift with the car off, its gotta be the slave, or a giant air bubble that isn't being bled out.

and jd my boss is cool but he gets into these moods were he is a complete dick and yes i am looking for a new job but i like where i work cause its a private shop and i get to use the lifts when ever i want as long as they are open and he lets me use his tools when i dont have the right ones

something is binding, or severly out of alignment.

thats the thing, when you work on these foreign cars, dumb shi like that happens due to special procedures needed to be followed.
