Default Intake??????????

I am having trouble choosing aCarbintake for my car. I'll give you the specs and tell me your opinion.
306 H.O. (roller)
World Products Windsor Sr. Roush Heads 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust slight porting
1.7 full roller rockers
Custom Grind cam (not sure of specs yet because motor is still at the shop but it will be around mid 500's on the lift)
Forged flat top pistons
ARP bolts all the way through
T-5
4.10 gears
Car is going to be street use only with maybe 2-3 times a years at the track. It is not a daily driver but I want something with good mid range power. What intakes are you running with similar setups and how do you like them?

The taller the better really (with in reason, I have never seen one too big). Gives you straighter, better flowing runners.

I'm debating between the Edelbrock RPM Air Gap and the Victor Jr.

I would get the Victor Jr before the Air-Gap. Straighter runners, and open square hole. I was going to get the Victor Jr, but I found a Super Victor and got it. You have to have more hood clearence for it though.

A victor jr is going to be great performance wise for that car espeically with those heads but its really going to kill low end. You might have some problems with bucking down low depending on your cam. I actaully ran a torker 289 on my 86 but I didn't get much street time with it and no track time so I don't know how effective it was performance wise over a dual plane. Down low it sucked though because the car would buck every once in a whileand had no power.

I didnt need it. I prefered it. But I am not running any numbers now. My car is sitting waiting for a replacement set of points and a replacement fuel regulator.
