Default gt seats vs racing seats

jus curious if anyone knows how much weight i can drop from my 94gt if i get racing seats, i have the leather seats with the electronic seat adjustments if that helps at all, and im lookin to spend 375 or less on the racing seats so if you know any in particular that are more lightweight than the rest that would be some great help, thanks guys

you will save a ton of weight going with a racing seat rather than the stock ones, especially if you go for the hard core race seats that are bare bones ones with just a little foam padding on them. I put a Kirkey racing seat in mine when I made it track only, but I wouldn't want to ride long distances in it on the street, they just ain't enough padding in it although it does hold you securely in place with a high back and side bolsters and has slots for a 5 point racing harness which I use now. there are others out there that are more street oriented though and they will be lighter than stock for sure. want some fun, take out one of your stock seats and then see how heavy it really is.
then you can compare this weight with the listed weights for whatever replacement seat you are looking at buying to know exactly how much weight you will be saving.
