i'm telling you, get rid of the platinums. the EEC-IV ignition system is not compatible with platinum plugs. period.
Your EVP sensor is probably showing EGR movement when the computer knows that it shouldn't be moving. A trick to cure this, remove the sensor, and on a grinding wheel or with a file, shave a millimeter or two off of the pintle. this will allow the pintle to extend fully and not be blocked by carbon deposits, thus providing accurate readings again.
yea idk what you mean mine ran fine with those plugs i switched to autolites cause they were cheaper and there maybe a little difference not really even anything to even mention. what do they do that makes them crappy?

platinum plugs fire from the ground to the electrode. autolites and other regular copper core plugs fire from the electrode to the ground.

mattdel i had a shop run my codes for free and the only thing that came up was something due with the ERG. The guy checked it out and said the erg sensor was broken ie smashed, but this should not be my problem.
