don't you mean 4:30?*L*
the reason why most like a 3;73 is because let's face it most don't have much horsepower and gears to a point will cover it up....IMO and experince the 3:55 makes good use of 1st-2nd shift.. now if you when running a 275 tire then the 3:73 would be a good choice..when setting stuff up I like to keep my combined ratio under 11

4.30......yea the actual math is 4.33 but 4.30 is cool too..... Why is it that everyone in here is so quick to try and prove they know more????? Aren't we all after the same thing??? To try and help one another. Just type what you know and let the thread starter put it all together, do some research, and make a decision.

Either way those gears are both great for accelerating and highway speeds, personally with a 5spd, i'd go 3.55's, but it's up to you. Good Luck

if your goin to boost your engine then stay with a 3.55... now if u wont mod your engine much it will depend on what kinda driving u do... lotta highway 3.55 ... not a daily driver then eitehr would work... if its a track only mite as well get 4.10... or at least 3.73.... 3.55 is a safer gear ull have more traction and u wont need as much experinence with drive your car to be able to handle it better... 3.73 are harder to launch unless u know what your doing.. i can launch my friends car... its basically the same car as mine only different gears.. he has 3.73.... i think ull be happy either way... if u really are unsure then go with 3.55 that way u dont have traction problems...
