Why would they make them for that aplication if they were unsafe!?
Thats how they are designed to be put in!

4 point harnesses should be mounted at a maximum of 5° above the shoulders to 30° below the shoulders... where you installed them is incorrect and unsafe

Shoulder Belt Routing · Shoulder belts must run from the shoulders horizontally or down, at no more than a 20° angle. · In cases where the shoulder belts must be routed down to the chassis floor, support by a roll cage bar or harness guide at the appropriate height is essential to establish the horizontal shoulder strap routing off the shoulder
