Default problem with shifting

ok, i got a 93 5.0 with aod tranny. now when i take off hard it pulls soo hard and shift at like 5800 like it should. but..... when i am driving normally, i will take off from a light and the rpm's will start to pick up, then its like it will shift to early, and the rpms wil drop and its like it just needs to stay in 1st longer. i dont know why it is like this and it is really annoying me, any help would be GREATLY appreciated, please !!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!! thanks a lot

So you want it to shift at 5800 all the time...?
It shifts early to conserve gas mister...

Sounds like you are getting toward that rebuild time. Ford Transmissions are known for Planetaries going bad and clutches burning up.

probaly a b&m rebuild kit would be in order and def. a stall conveter and a tranny cooler and of course a shift kit and you would be way better than any manual car around

I have a 95 mustang GT and i had the same problem wit mine. I took it to the ford dealership and they changes the tranny fluid, and flushed it and it is a lot better.. Mine would **** at around 1200-1500 rpms to second, drove me crazy too. Let me know what you do i might have to do the same later down the road.
