Default $17 part and a pretty nice upgrade!

Heh, picked this up from a junkyard today for $17. It came out of a 1993 Sable w/ 61k on it...probably putting it in next weekend. 12 less pounds the motor is swinging!

you need to run a bigger alternator, however, you may sacrifice the existing one

Nope! I'll run the stock alternator till it dies. Does an electric fan really draw THAT much current?

btw...any cars in the junkyard I could yank a better alt. out of? I have no problem using a used one...lots cheaper.

93 LX 5.0 - It's the same thing as a tarus fan that I have...they're the same exact car. I looked at some in tarus's too and they are the same...just chose the sable cause it had the lowest miles.
