ok well were on the subject of speedo gears...

i just got 3.55 gears for my '93 w/ a t-5, and i got the driven gear that the chart on 50resto.com said to get, but after lookin atthe chart Adder posted it said i cant get the right combination of correction gears,

so can anyone w/ that year transmission and those gears tell me what they used? or Adder if you know what to do...

thanks
50resto would rather sell you incorrect parts than let you know the PROPER way to setup your trans. You can do the 23 tooth gear, but it will wear out, doesnt fit right and the speedo will still be incorrect

OR

You can drop the tailhousing from your trans, and replace the DRIVE gear on the output shaft. Sure, it take a bit more work... but youd rather do it right... wouldnt you?

That chart still leaves me a little confused...I dont kno what driven gear I have, and I dont really feel like crawling under there and takin the speedo out. So if my one gear is a 7t already, I need the 21t...and if mytrans has an 8t, I cant make it work... Gooooo yelloooow :crosses fingers:

Correct, not sure what year car that came out of, my car was once an auto.. I did the swap in mid August. The trans has a tag on it if that helps?
